The nation’s biggest and busiest food distribution hub will get a $140 million facelift as part of a broader economic recovery blueprint Mayor Adams outlined Thursday — a plan he vowed would lead to “opportunity for everyone.”
More than 1,400 Local 202 market warehouse workers and drivers went on strike in January 2021. Strikers endured 24-hour picket lines in freezing conditions and even the arrest of five picketers holding the line.
